Integrated Systems Europe 2018 Top 3 Picks
This years ISE was even bigger than ever, so big in fact that it has outgrown the enormous RAI in Amsterdam and the organizers are currently looking around Europe for a suitable Venue. There are Rumors that it could move to Berlin or Copenhagen as soon as 2020.
We spent 4 packed days at the show meeting customers and suppliers here are our highlights. If you would like any more information about any of the technology below please don’t hesitate to contact us.
HDanywhere is a global brand of HDMI & HDBaseT video distribution systems, specialising in quality-built HDMI video matrixes for residential and smart home installs. HDanywhere´s mHub family of video matrixes is available in 2K (Full HD1080p) and 4K (HDCP 2.2) systems that can be set up and controlled via the HDanywhere Control app for Android and iOS, which will be launched at ISE 2016. mHub 2K and 4K systems are sold as everything-in-the-box kits that simplify the installation experience.
We simply love this product, Not only is it a nicely designed competitively priced product that does exactly what it says on the tin, but it comes with a (nearly) fully featured control system AND voice control built in…for free…! This is our go to product for residential HDMI distribution please get in touch for more information.
Bowers & Wilkins
Bowers & Wilkins impressed us with their 800 Diamond Theatre experience. The one-off ‘Ultimate’ residential cinema featured an CI800 Series Diamond custom install speaker system. These speakers use the same Diamond Dome, Continuum and Aerofoil transducer technologies found in the brand’s iconic 800 Diamond Series, conveniently reinvented for CI installation.
We enjoyed a private viewing in the cinema on the last day of the show and it was simply breathtaking.
Bowers and Wilkins truly have a speaker for every application and every budget, and we are proud to be an authorised Bowers and wilkins dealer, please contact us if you need any advice on speaker choice or placement. We offer free friendly advice over the phone.
One of several new developments this year is Rako´s RAK8, a flexible, centrally wired installation option. The same size as the standard RAK4, the RAK8 has 8 outputs & can be fitted with any combination of 4 different plug-in modules to suit a variety of loads. In addition, Rako´s Cloud Gateway – a secure interface to voice activated devices allows simple, intuitive voice commands to control Rako systems including lighting, blinds and curtains.
This really is a breakthrough for Rako, they have taken their time introducing voice control compared to some of their competitors, but they have gone about it in a robust and very clever way. By processing the voice commands in the cloud, rather than in the hardware, they can easily update the system to add other voice enabled devices (google home, apple home pod etc) in the future. We love Rako, tried and tested, this stuff just works, its also designed and manufactured in the UK and their service and support is second to none.
As ever, it is tough to get round everything at the show, even spread over 4 days!
We are already looking forwards to next year, but in the meantime we are looking forwards to installing all of the above products over the coming months!
